How To Change Your Email Address On The Idoneus Platform

In case there is a need to change your email address that you have used for your account on the Idoneus Platform, there are a few steps required to update it.

STEP 1: INFORM THE SUPPORT TEAM

Please send a message to the Support Team that you want to change your email address, and what your new email address is. We will update our CRM systems to make sure that for corporate communications and when we sent out a newsletters, etc we will utilize your new email address.

STEP 2: CREATE A NEW ACCOUNT ON THE IDONEUS PLATFORM

Due to technical and security precautions, it is currently not allowed to change the email address of your account on the Idoneus Platform. You will have to create a new account with your new email address, following the standard procedures.

If you had already completed KYC Level 1 and/or Level 2 on your “old” account, you do NOT have to repeat this. Our Support Team will be able to move your KYC status to your new account.

Please note that as part of creating a new account with your new email address, the system will also automatically generate a new Cyberwallet for your new account.

STEP 3: MOVE YOUR IDON FUNDS / WALLET

Finally, we have to make sure that any IDON funds that you already have, are now moved to your new account. Depending on what wallet you are using, there are different instructions and options.

OPTION 1: IDON FUNDS ARE ON AN EXTERNAL WALLET LIKE METAMASK, LEDGER OR TRUST WALLET

In case you are holding your IDON tokens on an external wallet like Metamask or Trustwallet, you can connect this wallet to your new account using the instructions here.

OPTION 2: IDON FUNDS ARE ON A CYBERWALLET; TRANSFER FUNDS TO NEW CYBERWALLET

In case you are holding your IDON tokens in a Cyberwallet that is linked to your “old” account / email address, you can simply transfer the IDON tokens from this “old” wallet to the new Cyberwallet that was automatically generated for your new account.

You should also transfer any other funds you may have on the “old” Cyberwallet, for example MATIC or ETH, to the new Cyberwallet.

OPTION 3: IDON FUNDS ARE ON A CYBERWALLET; EXPORT / IMPORT WALLET

In case you are holding your IDON tokens in a Cyberwallet that is linked to your “old” account / email address, you also have the option to export this wallet from your “old” account and import it on your new account. 

Please note, this is only recommended for experienced users of crypto wallets. All other users are recommended to follow Option 2 above.

Instructions:

  1. In your “old” Cyberwallet of your “old” account, navigate to the Wallet Settings, and click on “export wallet”. You will have two options: JSON Keystore and Private Key.
  2. In your “new” Cyberwallet of your “new” account, navigate to the Wallet Settings, click on “add wallet” and then select the option to “import wallet” that corresponds to the “export wallet” option that you selected in step 1 above.
